Welcome to Redwoods River Resort, your #1 place for family, friends and fun in the Northern California Redwoods. Redwoods River Resort is nestled in the beautiful Northern California Redwoods, directly off Highway 101 & directly across from World Famous Confusion Hill. Family owned and operated for over 24 years, the park strives to provide each guest a warm and comfortable family camping environment with a fun and relaxing atmosphere.

Our Resort features a motel & cozy cabins both with kitchenettes and BBQ's. You'll love our 2 bedroom, 2 bath + bunk room vacation rental with gas BBQ and fire ring. In addition to the rooms and cabins we have RV sites with full hookups, tent camping sites & a beautiful group site with brick BBQ. We offer a Clubhouse with full kitchen that is also available for rent, that holds 50 people.

In the summer of 2015 we added a beautiful Beer, Wine & Espresso bar that also serves hot food. There are two TV's so you don't have to miss your favorite sports event! It is located adjacent to the Recreation Room for kids and adults along with a cozy outdoor area with outdoor fire-pits and a beautiful Bocce Ball court. We also have a small store to supply you with most items you might need.

We offer a variety of free fun activities for guests of all ages. Our Recreation Room has air hockey, foosball, ping pong, pool table, and satellite television. There are outdoor games such as Bocce Ball, giant Checkers & Twister board, giant Connect Four, giant Jenga, shuffleboard, volleyball, badminton and horseshoes. Younger guests will enjoy their choice of our two playgrounds, Camp Jordan (toddler playground) and Fort McCaffison. Summer visitors will appreciate our heated pool and private access to the Eel River, which has two wonderful swimming holes. You also might love the Friday Night Movie's in the Clubhouse, Rock Painting, or Saturday night Ice Cream Social and Karaoke by the Campfire! (May-Sept)

We offer visitors a wide variety of accommodations as well as indoor and outdoor activities, which makes our place a wonderful get-a-way for Family Reunions, Weddings, Retreats or Corporate events. With our prime location on the Eel River, our proximity to several state parks, Confusion Hill, hiking and biking trails, and the abundance of our ancient giant Redwoods, we hope to be your next destination in the Northern California Redwoods!

Park Amenities

Full Service Store - We have a full service store located at the park entrance, you will also find our Office inside. The store carries everything needed for your stay including firewood, ice, to beverages and food. Allowing you to spend time enjoying the Redwoods instead of driving 15 miles to the nearest market for the one thing you forgot to bring.

RV Sites - The park has many full hookup RV sites, some pull through as well. We also have sites with just electrical and water connections. If you wish to check out the locations of our sites please feel free to look at or download our Park Map.

Tent Sites - The park has several tent sites (dry sites). Some sites are centrally located and close to everything, others are secluded in your own private section of the Redwoods. Check the Park Map to see the locations of our tent sites.

Rooms + Cabins - We have  rooms of various sizes and cabins of various configurations, and camping cabins.  All rooms have full bedding & towels.  Kitchenettes have a two-burner gas stove, charcoal BBQ, dishes, pots & pans, silverware, cups, glasses, utensils, cutlery, cutting boards, small refrigerator, microwave, drip coffee maker, dish soap, dish towel & sponge.  

Things we suggest you bring is your favorite coffee (if you don't like hotel packets), paper towels, pool towels, charcoal & lighter fluid, shampoo & conditioner.

Some exceptions: Lodge room 1 & The Redwood have a gas BBQ.  Minnie Lillie & The Redwood have a bathtub & full size oven.  The Redwood has a dishwasher & 2 small A/C units.

Handicap Accessible - We have a bathroom/shower facility that is Handicap Accessible and we have full size wheelchair accessible showers in the bathrooms..

Garbage + Recycling - Please do your part to help keep this world green - There are several garbage bins located throughout the park.  See the Park Map for locations. Please make sure all garbage is bagged before placing it in the bins, and make sure the bins are closed to prevent animals from getting into the garbage. During the summer months we place several recycling centers next to the garbage bins. Simply follow the directions on the recycling centers and deposit your items in the proper bin. We do recycle cardboard, but we have no bin for that, if you wish to recycle cardboard simply place it next to a Recycling Center.

Fire Pits + Barbecues - Each camp site and cabin has its own fire pit (no grills), and each motel room has it’s own barbecue & private balcony. Please familiarize yourself with our Policies concerning the use of the fire pits.

Picnic Tables + Day Use Picnics - At this time we are not accepting Day Use.

Bathrooms - The park has two bathroom/shower facilities centrally located and a bathroom in the Recreation Room that is open year round. There is a bathroom in the pool area as well that is accessible when the pool is open. Bathroom codes will be needed for the campground bathroom; you will get the code when you check in. You can look at the Park Map for the locations.

Showers - Both bathroom facilities have hot showers that are cleaned daily. The main bathroom has large wheelchair accessible shower stalls for men or women.

Laundry Room - The laundry will be CLOSED until the drought in California is over.  We are on a well water with a limited water supply.  Sorry for the inconvenience. There is a laundry room in the same building as the main bathroom; see the Park Map for the location. It will be closed at night and not opened again until the morning, so make sure to remove all clothing before closing each night. The hours of the laundry room can be found on the door of the laundry room or in the office.

Hiking Trail - There is a 350 yard hiking trail that leads to the Eel River with miles of hiking up and down the river.  See the Park Map for trailhead location. There are also lots of hiking opportunities in the general area.  Please ask at the office for the hiking trail guide that we have.

Fishing - There is fishing in the Eel River in the Fall & Winter with a current fishing license.  Salmon & Steelhead run when the river is high enough.  In the summer it is all catch and release with artificial lures and barbless hooks only.   Please see office for equipment or information about the best fishing locations and if any other restrictions are in effect or you can call the Fish and Game Department at 707-944-5500. Swimming - The park has a heated pool (May to mid-Oct weather depending) for your enjoyment but you can also swim in the Eel River which is a warm river in the summer and swim in the great swimming holes.

Playgrounds - The park has two playgrounds, Fort McCaffison and Camp Jordan (toddler playground) as well as a volleyball/bad-mitten net. In the Recreation Room you will find pool, air hockey, Foosball, and ping pong. The equipment needed to play these games can be checked out from the office. There is also a horseshoe pit, shuffle board court, and ladder ball located in the park.

WiFi - Sometimes you have to give up some modern conveniences to enjoy the wilderness! We use an outside company that provides WiFi, & it is not high-speed, but it's the best our area offers.  So if you just want to check some email or social media sites, you should be just fine. Verizon Wireless, AT&T, & Sprint has some coverage at the campground.



Ice Cream Social & Karaoke - IT'S BACK!! Saturdays are Ice-Cream Social & Karaoke Nights. Come on over to the Recreation Room to enjoy a delicious Ice Cream Sundae by the group campfire. (A nominal fee is charged and the event is subject to occupancy level.)  Afterwards get your best singing voice ready to perform, its fun for all ages. Hang around for intermission where you can dance along to some great group dance songs as well!
