Welcome to Redwoods River Resort, your premier destination for family, friends, and fun amidst the breathtaking Northern California Redwoods. Situated conveniently off Highway 101 and directly across from the renowned Confusion Hill, Redwoods River Resort has been proudly family-owned and operated for over 25 years. Our commitment is to offer each guest a welcoming and comfortable family camping experience within a lively and serene atmosphere.

Discover our diverse accommodations, featuring a motel and cozy cabins, all equipped with kitchenettes and BBQ facilities. Immerse yourself in the charm of our 2-bedroom, 2-bath + bunk room vacation rental complete with a gas BBQ and fire ring. Additionally, we provide RV sites with full hookups, tent camping spaces, and an inviting group site. Our Clubhouse, with a full kitchen available for rent, accommodates up to 50 people.

In 2015, we introduced a delightful English Pub offering hot food, beer on tap, a wide selection of local wines, two TVs for sports enthusiasts, and an outdoor area with fire pits and a Bocce Ball court. A small store is also on-site, ensuring you have access to essential items.

Indulge in a plethora of free, entertaining activities suitable for guests of all ages. Our Recreation Room boasts air hockey, foosball, ping pong, pool table, and satellite television. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy Bocce Ball, giant Checkers & Twister, Connect Four, Jenga, shuffleboard, volleyball, badminton, and horseshoes. Younger guests can explore our two playgrounds, Camp Jordan (toddler playground), and Fort McCaffison. During the summer, take advantage of our heated pool and private access to the Eel River, featuring two delightful swimming holes. Don't miss out on Saturday night Ice Cream Social and Karaoke by the Campfire (May-Sept)!

Positioned on the Eel River, in close proximity to state parks, Confusion Hill, hiking and biking trails, and surrounded by ancient giant Redwoods, we invite you to make us your next destination in the Northern California Redwoods!

Park Amenities

Full-Service Store: Our comprehensive store, conveniently situated at the park entrance along with our office, stocks everything essential for your stay. From firewood and ice to beverages and food, our store ensures you have all you need on-site, sparing you a 15-mile drive to the nearest market for any overlooked items.

RV Sites: Discover numerous full-hookup RV sites, some with convenient pull-through access. We also offer sites with electrical and water connections. For a detailed look at our site locations, feel free to consult or download our Park Map.Tent Sites: Embrace the beauty of our several tent sites (dry sites), strategically positioned for varying preferences. Whether centrally located for easy access or secluded in your private section of the Redwoods, our tent sites cater to diverse preferences. Refer to the Park Map for precise locations.

Rooms + Cabins: Choose from rooms of various sizes, cabins with different configurations, and camping cabins. All rooms include full bedding and towels. Kitchenettes feature a two-burner gas stove, charcoal BBQ, and a complete set of kitchenware. While we provide necessities, we suggest bringing your favorite coffee (if you're not a fan of hotel packets), paper towels, pool towels, charcoal and lighter fluid, as well as shampoo and conditioner.
Exceptions include Lodge room 1 and The Redwood, equipped with a gas BBQ. Minnie Lillie and The Redwood boast a bathtub and full-size oven, while The Redwood offers a dishwasher and two small A/C units.

Handicap Accessible: Our commitment to accessibility includes a bathroom/shower facility designed for handicapped individuals, featuring full-size wheelchair accessible showers.

Garbage + Recycling: Contribute to environmental sustainability by utilizing the numerous garbage bins located throughout the park. Ensure all garbage is bagged before disposal and keep bins closed to prevent animals from accessing them. During summer, recycling centers accompany garbage bins, facilitating easy recycling. Although we recycle cardboard, please place it next to a Recycling Center, as we lack a specific bin for it.

Fire Pits + Barbecues: Each campsite and cabin boasts its fire pit, while motel rooms feature a private balcony with a barbecue. Familiarize yourself with our policies regarding fire pit usage on our policy page.

Day Use: Currently, we are not accepting Day Use requests.

Bathrooms: Centrally located, our park offers two bathroom/shower facilities, a year-round bathroom in the Recreation Room, and a pool area bathroom accessible when the pool is open. Campground bathroom codes are provided upon check-in, and you can refer to the Park Map for locations.

Showers: Enjoy daily cleaned, hot showers in both bathroom facilities, with the main bathroom providing large wheelchair-accessible shower stalls for men and women.

Hiking Trail: Embark on a 350-yard hiking trail leading to the Eel River, offering miles of scenic trails along the riverbanks. Consult the Park Map for the trailhead location, and inquire at the office for our hiking trail guide.

Fishing: Experience fishing in the Eel River during the Fall and Winter with a valid fishing license. In the summer, engage in catch and release with artificial lures and barbless hooks only. Check with the office for equipment or information about optimal fishing locations and any applicable restrictions.

Swimming: Take advantage of our heated pool (May to mid-Oct, weather depending) or swim in the warm Eel River during the summer, which features delightful swimming holes.

Playgrounds: Enjoy our two playgrounds, Fort McCaffison and Camp Jordan (toddler playground), along with a volleyball/badminton net. The Recreation Room houses pool, air hockey, foosball, and ping pong, with equipment available for checkout at the office. Additionally, discover a horseshoe pit, shuffleboard court, and ladder ball within the park.

WiFi: Embrace the wilderness experience, acknowledging that our WiFi, provided by an external company, may not be high-speed but is sufficient for checking emails and social media. Verizon Wireless, AT&T, and Sprint offer some coverage at the campground.

Activities

 

Ice Cream Social & Karaoke - Saturdays are Ice-Cream Social & Karaoke Nights. Come on over to the Pub Patio to enjoy a delicious Ice Cream Sundae by the group campfire. (A nominal fee is charged and the event is subject to occupancy level.) Afterwards get your best singing voice ready to perform, its fun for all ages. Hang around for intermission where you can dance along to some great group dance songs as well!
